Increasingly we are turning to wellness activities to soothe our nervous systems in the midst of life’s growing chaos. Whilst it can be a beautiful thing, maintaining wellbeing often comes with a hefty price tag. We believe that self care should feel accessible and grounded, which is why we’re starting the Community Sound Bath: a welcoming space to rest, recharge, and connect at an affordable price. Because wellness is for everyone!
Neeta Sarl is a music producer and certified sound therapist, working at the intersection of music, wellness, and neuroscience at Universal Music. With family roots in devotional music (Sikh Kirtan), she brings a unique sensitivity to the craft: a connection to sacred sound, a deep understanding of its science, and professional experience in music and sound engineering.
This month we will have a special guest musician, John Garner joining us on Shakuhachi (Japanese flute). John is currently a student of shakuhachi grandmaster Cornelius Shinzen Boots, and a postgraduate research student at Newcastle University, where he is the recipient of the Clara Whittaker Music PhD Scholarship. Because of this very special guest, we have increased the suggested minimum donation to £7 just for this month only.
